In 1975 Edwards and Hand set to music the poems of William Plomer from the best selling children's book, "The Butterfly ball and the Grasshopper's Feast", illustrated by Alan Aldridge famous for his work with the Beatles, particularly The Beatles illustrated Lyrics.
This album features the voices of Dame Judi Dench and Sir Michael Hordern. It features Edwards on keyboards and vocals and Hand on guitar and vocals, with Gerry Conway on drums and Bruce Lynch on bass.
This is a very English dreamy pastoral folky progressive rock - with lots of atmospheric touches Sound effects and the usual Progressive hall marks
Shades of Camel , Amazing Blondel , Dulcimer , late Beatles, Stackridge Caravan etc
A strangely overlooked album - which is a shame as it is all rather splendid music and beautifully produced and packaged ,perhaps the Roger Glover album of the same name confused the public
Pretty Tricky to find now I imagine
