Here is another copy that just arrived here in that lot of 78's I recently purchased from the late Dan Coffey's record collection. The famous Blues/Rockabilly collector and Teddy Boy, "Breathless" Dan Coffey, bought many, many hundreds of copies of Sun records directly from the Select-O-Hits warehouse in Memphis, TN in the 60's and shipped them back to his native Ireland. According to Mr. Ed Smith, Coffey would stay with Tom Phillips (Sam's brother) while in Memphis on his record buying trips across the country, so you know that this record came from the Sun Records warehouse archive at Select-O-Hits. Recently Coffey's son Donal started selling off his late fathers records by lots and I won a lot that included this classic Sun disc.
Up for sale is a beautiful 78 by DALE HAWKINS, his classic "Susie-Q" b/w "Don't Treat Me This Way" on Checker #863 1958. Vinyl is crisp E/E+ warehouse stock (a few pressing dimples). Labels are great looking, spindle marks are tight, around the hole on flip side, very small pressing label damage can be seen both sides, housed in new gold paper sleeve. See scans. You will be proud to have a copy this nice in your collection. This is a 78 rpm, 10" record. A smart investment. All 78's shipped sandwiched between cardboard in a 12 x 12 x 4 box with packing material. NO RESERVE!
