EERO KOIVISTOINEN Jappa (1967) 7 Inch 33 1/3 RPM 3 Track EP (7" Single). Jazz At The Polytechnicum JATP 1. The original finnish pressing from 1967. The machine stamped matrix numbers for side B is "JATP 1 B" and there is no matrix number on the A side. Still includes the original picture sleeve.
The unlaminated single picture sleeve and disc are in EX/VG condition. The sleeve has no ring wear, no creases, slight bendings on the bottom right corner of the front sleeve, no seam splits, no price sticker residues, slight edge wear (white on white), the name is written to the bottom left of the back sleeve by the original owner (see photos). The Disc has three light marks (not feelable, not playable) on the A side, side B is clean excellent condition with no scratches. The disc plays perfect, surely excellent. The labels has no spindle marks and no writings.
This ultra rare EP was the first output of Eero Koivistoinen. It was recorded at Dipoli building, Otaniemi, in January 1967. The line-up was Eero Koivistoinen (alto sax), Pekka Sarmanto (bass), Martti Edward Vesala (drums, gretsch drums, zildjian cymbals), Pekka Tirkkonen (conga), Veli Pekka Räsänen and Jarmo Vainio (cello). The tracks are Jappa, O. k. song, Spanish lady & lovable miss P.
