EGG - THE POLITE FORCE
A wonderful copy of this UK 1st press prog rarity, with the sparingly played vinyl and terrific stereo audio quality being true highlights
Year/Label : 1970 UK DERAM Label number : SML 1074 Matrix numbers : ZAL-10066.P-1W, ZAL-10067.P-1W Stampers : 1 U / 1 DNear mint (NM) condition gleaming jet black sheen vinyl - side 1 is unmarked, and if you look very closely at side 2 in a bright light you may be able to detect just a couple of small and extremely faint paper scuffs, but that's it! Remarkable condition for a 54 year old record. Near perfect labels with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each. Clearly, this is a record that has been very sparingly played. Front-side only laminated solid very good plus (VG+) - many would grade as "excellent", I am sure - condition Robert Stace outer sleeve. All colours, photos, text and art work remain beautifully intact with firm unscuffed edges and unblemished spine text. Each corner remains a near perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all. No cardboard creasing, no unwanted writing no ring wear, and no laminate lifting. Just the odd tiny and non-obvious handing/storage mark on the reverse side and a few 1-2cm very light, non-obvious and surface creases adjacent to the spine and top edge...trivial, though there is one small 1cm crease adjacent and perpendicular to the mid of the spine which does just impinge upon the spine and slightly weakens the spine at that point, otherwise the spine is firm throughout - take a good look at my photos where I have tried to show these minor blemishes but also show the sleeve to be the overall excellent condition which it is. Near mint (NM) stereo audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, interference, distortion, clicks or background crackle. Simply put, great tone with crystal clear stereo audio quality throughout and every track a great listen. Comes with original and correctly dated ("3-70") blue and white poly-lined DECCA inner sleeve with no seam splits, some mild corner creasing, a little top edge fraying and just the hint of some very mild age discolouration but remaining fully functional. I always ship the record in a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly impression condition copy of this UK 1st press 1970 prog rarity - increasingly sought after and hard to find, especially with 54 year old vinyl in such wonderful and little played condition as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
