ACTION MUSIC / BENEDICT ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST TV single. Music by EGISTO MACCHI orchestrations by ROBERTO NICOLOSI trumpet by NINO ROSSI. Original Italian pressing on SPRINT label (SP A 5588), from 1973. Seldom offered for sale Italian soundtrack grail (released to promote 2 super-obscure RAI television programmes). This is the desirable and original 1st issue of the cool bonus single that the Cinedelic label included with their recent Nucleo Centrale Investigativo release ;) Strange mood music by Gemelli / Sermi label electronic pioneer and cult Italian Library composer, Egisto Macchi. The ACTION MUSIC theme is from a mini TV series directed by Vittorio Armentano starring Glauco Onorato / Lucciana Luppi / Massimo Dapporto and Roberto Herlitzka. Orchestrations by Roberto Nicolosi (the arranger behind the Atmosfera Library aka L'occhio Nel Labirinto aka Eye Of The Labyrinth giallo thriller film score on Fontana label). The BENEDICT theme is from "ESP" (another RAI mini television series, this time directed by Daniele D'Anza starring Paolo Stoppa playing the role of a man with strange powers of extrasensory perception). Both sides feature the Guido Pistocchi style trumpet sound of Nino Rosso (a key musician on the Helen Merrill / Piero Umiliani Parole e Musica recording). The ACTION MUSIC theme has a funky lounge cum psychedelic spaghetti western / chase sequence / Poliziotteschi crime thriller feel with delirious latin congas / bongos and drum breaks over amphetamine tempo, jazz orchestrations. BENEDICT is weird lounge with psychedelic cowboy film music influences / trumpet / odd analog electronics / strings and things. Booming production sound. Fabulous artwork picture sleeve (both sides :) Very rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a cosmetic-only scuff line from storage to "Action Music" side. Some light surface noises. Booming production sound. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some ring creasing and some other general creasing from storage. Some ring dirt marks from storage. Some corner wear. A few small wear marks to edges. Sharp looking item. Very rare OST 45!!!
