GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Note : decisamente un capolavoro di Egisto Macchi. Una sonorizzazione dalle tinte profondamente cupe e con un potere sonoro ipnotico che penetra metaforicamente nel cervello ora in maniera dolce ammaliato dai tanti vocalizzi femminili come fossero le sirene di Ulisse nell’Odissea di Omero, ora con violenza per le molteplici percussioni e suoni d’avanguardia. Non trovo particolari climi d’angoscia o inquietudine come spesso avviene in lavori musicali similari. Le atmosfere sonore hanno piuttosto un carattere surreale, mistico ed onirico ben espresso da particolari vocalizzi femminili, talvolta come se fossero partoriti da strane apparecchiature elettroniche. Tuttavia quello che dovrebbe essere percepito dall’ascoltatore è il lato romantico di queste composizioni, nascosto da suoni violenti, rumori strani, fischi e soluzioni d’avanguardia. In poche parole Voix è un album con un cuore tenero che governa tutte le sue tracce indipendentemente dalla loro inquietante o mistica natura.  Non posso fare a meno di menzionare la splendida " Voix " condotto da un surreale vocalizzo femminile e con ovattati suoni elettronici in sottofondo, " Chanson de la Nuit " dove il vocalizzo sembra emesso dal sibilo del vento e "  À Plein Gosier " con percussioni e vocalizzi corali dalle atmosfere gotiche che suggeriscono immagini di una processione notturna.

Notes : definitely a masterpiece of Egisto Macchi. A sound library from the deeply dark shades and a hypnotic sound power which metaphorically penetrates into the brain sometimes bewitched by many female vocalisms as if they were the Sirens towards Ulysses in Homer’s Odyssey, sometimes violently for the numerous percussions and avant-garde sounds. I find no particular climates of distress or restlessness as often happens in similar musical works. The sound atmospheres are characterized by surrealism, mysticism and dream state well expressed by special female wordless vocalisms, in some cases as if they were begot by strange electronic devices. However what should be seized from the listener is the romantic side of these compositions hidden by wild sounds, weird noises, whistles and avant-garde solutions. In a nutshell Voix is an album with a sweet heart which rules all the tracks regardless of their mystical or eerie nature.  At all costs I have to mention the wonderful " Voix " led by a surreal female vocalism and with muffled electronic sounds in the background, " Chanson de la Nuit " where the vocalism seems to be emitted by wind whistling  and " À Plein Gosier " from gothic atmosphere with percussions and choral wordless vocals suggesting images of a procession in the night.
