Mint in shrink release on Shadoks of El Congreso’s self-titled LP, a milestone psychedelic recording (049). Long sold out from the source, this sits right there with Kissing Spell, Lula Cortes and Embrujo. Here’s the label scoop:
“There are 3 albums you need to hear from Chile: Kissing Spell, Embrujo and this amazingly rare El Congreso. On 5 original Kissing Spell you might find 1 El Congreso album. Original released on Odeon, the 3 brothers Gonzáles plus bass & drums recorded this album in 1971. Musicwise it goes in the same direction as Kissing Spell and Embrujo. Mellow underground psychy tracks, trippy jungle sounds, dreamy vocals, great guitarwork just the kind of music you want to hear while reading Castaneda and trying out a few pleasure-cactuses.”
