SCHIZOID "DISCO" KID / LOST DRIVER ... 45rpm, 12" mix by THE ELECTRIC KIDS music written by FRANCOIS CAMUZEAUX & MARTIN. Original Italian promo pressing on the ISADORA label (ISC 122), from 1978. Superb and superior Italian release of the French cosmic club tune. A brilliant double-sider with booming production sound. Really infectious disco dub with cool studio FX featuring killer boogie basslines / spacey and very funky synthesizers / glam style treated lead vocals and handclaps / sexy female backing singers / stoned psychedelic guitars / thumping house tempo drums etc etc. The breaks and acid rhythms of SCHIZOID "DISCO" KID get really trippy and delirious as the theme progresses. Great for DJs. Should appeal to lovers of the ever trendy Psychemagik / Charles Bals Parasol Island sound. The equally stoned LOST DRIVER side is also superb. Indie no wave rock influenced funky disco a la Jean-Pierre Massiera with cool vocals and strung-out disco dub production (the music deliberately fades out and back in over the last minute or so too). Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M- overall) on 'Schizoid Disco Kid' side and strong VG++ on 'Lonely Driver' side with light scuffs and hairlines. Light surface noises. Booming production sound. Record housed in special RCA label 'disco mix' card sleeve.
