Description
Artist: Electric Light Orchestra Title: Electric Light Orchestra Label: Harvest Cat No: SHVL 797 Year: 1971 Country: UK
I am in the process of selling my Record Collection, I always purchased the best copies I could find. This is the 1st UK Issue of the debut LP by `Electric Light Orchestra` released in 1972 on the Green Harvest Label, with `The Gramophone...` text showing it is the first ever UK Issue released in a lovely textured sleeve it has the rare Lyric sheet, the vinyl is in Archive condition. It looks as new unplayed. Matrix: Side 1 - SHVL 797 A-1U Side 2 - SHVL 797 B-1U - there is also a crossed out matrix on either side showing this is the first pressing
Vinyl (M-) Plays Great with no sticks or jumps etc, even under bright halogen lights I cant see any sleeve removal scuffs, no feelable scratches! Top Archive Copy
Inners (EX+) - contains the original rare inner lyric sheet, also comes with the original Harvest Advertising Inner Sleeve
Labels - Lovely Clean Green Harvest labels with `The Gramophone Co Ltd`` text, no visible spindle lines, showing lack of play
Sleeve (EX++/NM) - Original 1st issue `Textured` Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold sleeve, no bad edgewear or ringwear, Sharp Spine & opening, a top copy, very hard to find in this condition (Please see photos for complete overview)
Hard to find these classic rock original issue vinyl`s in top condition
I am in the process of selling lots of obscure & rare Records/CD`s, I will be posting regularly why not check them out!
I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover
I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)
Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
