Description

Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the self-titled debut album Elf, originally released in the U.S. on Epic Records (KE 31789) in 1972:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue -1A/1B first pressing stampers in the deadwax -Original yellow Epic labels -Original paste-down cover -No UPC/bar code on cover -Not record club pressing -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective sleeve
Condition: These original Elf covers were very prone to wear, and it's very hard to find one that isn't heavily worn with ring wear but this one is very nicely preserved and clean.  Has just some very light rubbing along edges on front.  One small rubbing spot bottom middle (see photo).  Seams are nice, no splits, just some light rub.  Corners are nice, light rub.  Back looks clean.  One of the nicest examples of this cover I've come across.  A keeper. Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies you'll find
Vinyl is also very nice, still retains its original shiny gloss.  No obvious scratches, but under a strong light shows some faint superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Labels are clean, no wear around spindle holes.  Looks like this record has been played only a couple times at most previously but handled with care. Grade: Excellent (EX)

Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts.  Just ask!

International Shipping
:
Because of unreliable postal services, buyers in France and Italy must pay for Expedited international shipping, which includes tracking and insurance.  I've had too many records lost or damaged shipping to these countries.  Also, I do not ship to Central or South America, or China.
How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing.  I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection.  I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
100% satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying.  My 100% positive feedback allows you to buy with confidence.  Returns accepted, no questions asked.
About Me: -I have been a record collector for over 40 years and a seller on eBay for over 20 years.
-I consider myself a professional, not someone who is selling records he found at a garage sale like many on eBay.
-I try to grade accurately -- beware of sellers who claim they grade "conservatively" -- rarely is that the case.
-I don't just give a record a grade, but I also explain why I give it the grade that I do. -I explain why I describe a record as "original" or a "first pressing" -- most records on sold on eBay as original are NOT. -I visually grade my records, and sometimes spot-test them for audio quality -- I can't listen to them all the way through. -Every stereo system is different, and what sounds good on mine may not sound good on yours.  If so, return it. -Every seller makes mistakes not matter how much experience they have -- record selling is NOT a perfect science. -If I make a mistake, or the record isn't what you expected, return it for a full refund -- and I will pay for return shipping. -I have 100% positive feedback for a reason -- and I strive to keep it that way by being accurate about what I sell.
