This is a very important album in the career of the Brazilian idol, singer Elis Regina, standing exactly at the bridge between her early work (Samba, Bossa Nova and Pop) and the second, very successful part (MPB and stronger Jazz influences).
"Elis - como e porque" contains compositions by Milton Nascimento (not very known at that time), Edu Lobo and Egberto Gismonti, classics by Roberto Menescal, Baden Powell, Vinicius de Moraes and Ary Barroso ("Aquarela do Brasil"), as well as an excursion into French language, a song from "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg".
Rare original Brazil LP. Cover has only slight wear, ring wear and creasing (see pictures) = E
The record has a scratch on "Nega do Cabelo Duro", there might be a skip. Otherwise the record plays just excellent, almost no fizz! = E-

Unless otherwise noted, my records are play-graded. I play through all records on a Technics SL-QD33 with a Technics P30 stylus. Grading and comments on sound are purely my opinion and therefore subjective. The same record/LP may sound different on another system or setup. Please contact me with any questions. All of my records are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard mailers. I will add two cardboard supports, and the record will be out of sleeve to prevent seam splits.
