ELLA WAS NO LONGER A BIG BAND GIRL VOCALIST, SHE WAS A MATURE WOMAN AND ONE OF THE BEST JAZZ PERFORMERS AND ARTISTS IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

ELLA RECORDED ALL OF THE GREAT SONGBOOKS, A BIG PROJECT, BUT THE TIMING WAS PERFECT, ELLA WAS AT HER PEAK, NORMAN WAS ENCOURAGING, AND SHE HAD ACCESS TO THE BIGGEST TALENTS, ON THE PLANET LIKE NELSON RIDDLE, AND BUDDY DEFRANCO.

THESE TWO, BY JOHNNY MERCER, AND JEROME KERN, SIMPLY SPARKLE. I JUST LOVE THE COMBINATION OF INSIGHTFULNESS, WORLDLINESS, CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND A CHARMING DASH OF  HUMOUR.

THESE RECORDINGS WHERE MADE IN LOS ANGELES,IN 1964, AND THEY HAVE NOT AGED ONE JOT, TOTALLY INFECTIOUS AND FRESH.

TO BE HONEST, MUSIC DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS, THIS IS A MASTERPIECE, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.

We are very passionate,and reasonably knowledgeable about all the music we list!

For your consideration we will try to source the best music on the planet including Blues, Soul, Lounge Lizard, Country,Punk, Reggae,Jazz, funk etc.

We try really hard to list music for all tastes!

It is very important to us that you collect the very best genres and artists that will enhance your collection!

We have been informed by our customers that we list an eclectic catalogue of music, yes indeed! That is our aim!

Some of this music, you will know and love, however we urge you to take a chance,if your eye is attracted to an album cover,then that is an indicator that you will probably enjoy the journey!

These records are from our own private collection, we have known most of them since they where babies.

We are in a good position to point out all of the good and not so good details!

We grade all our records as honestly as we can and  will point out all the little details that we think you, as a collector needs to know!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words!

We upload loads of pictures for your consideration.

We do not use stock photos, so please look at all pictures carefully!

Use the zoom magnifer provided by eBay. What you see in the picture is exactly what you are buying, if you see something that you do not like, please do not buy!

This is the only way that can can guarantee that you are buying quality!

AS GRADERS OF VINYL WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE AUDIO PLAYBACK SOUND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ELSE. SUPERFICIAL MARKS AND HAIRLINES DO NOT WORRY US, IF THE RECORD PLAYS AND SOUNDS GREAT.  AS A CUSTOMER, WE FEEL THAT THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

IT'S FAIR TO SAY THAT WE HAVE AN AUDIO PLAYBACK SOUND BIAS, RATHER THAN VISUAL.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BUYING VINYL THAT IS NOT PLAY TESTED. A RECORD CAN LOOK GREAT, BUT PLAY TERRIBLY. THE AUDIO TEST REVEALS ALL, THE GOOD AND THE BAD.

This rigid quality control process is obviously a slow process, but our mantra is if it is not good enough for our collection,then it is not good enough for your collection!

As a general rule we do not sell music, that we would not be happy with in our own collection.

We are over the moon that so many of you have saved us as a favourite seller, and we are delighted when you come back for more!

Many of you also enjoy a browse at our very popular big CD and cassette sale that is running concurrently with our big vinyl sale!

Recently we have begun to list Multi Media Value Bundles, and judging by our feedback these streaming busting deals are going down a treat!

We use the Uk Record Record Collector System for all our vinyl, I will not cut and paste this here, as you can goggle this very easily, instead I will explain some misunderstandings, that arise from time to time.

Grade Excellent does not mean, New, or like New, this would be graded as Mint.

I rarely sell Mint,I only use this grade if the record is sealed and unopened,or if I genuinely believe that it has only been played very, very rarely.

I do however use Near Mint I use this grade when I am absolutely delighted with the quality and audio playback of the vinyl.

A cut above grade Excellent!

Grade Excellent is a record that has been well looked after and stored by a conscientious collector and shows evidence of being played.

Grade Very Good means reasonable wear or tear considering the age of the record or cover.

If you are buying anything below grade VERY GOOD, PLEASE LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS, BUT MY ADVICE IS TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND.

Please let me explain, obviously if you require MINT CONDITION, at all times, and are a very strict audiophile, then you will not be looking at this grade at all, however if you are a more casual, general music fan, that just enjoys a few cracking tunes, then a slight defect or two, might not spoil your overall enjoyment.

I once sold a record by The Who, that can be very expensive, for very cheap, I think I graded it between GOOD and FAIR. It only had a little heartbeat jump or two, near the very end. The buyer was absolutely delighted, and he informed me that because he was retired would not have been able to afford, this first pressing, in pristine condition.

If a grade GOOD or FAIR delights me on a certain level, and I strongly believe that it has merit for a collector, then I will list it, especially if it is a rare record, or if certain parts of the majority of playback blows me away.

I will obviously give you a lot of information for this type of purchase, so that you can make an informed decision.

As a general rule, I prefer to list records at VG or above. I discard quite a few records below VG, but sometimes a little jump or two at the beginning of a record, will not be overbearing for a casual collector, if the majority of audio playback sound is enjoyable, with no major issues.

All our Records will be cleaned and ready for your turntable.

All records will be enclosed in a clear protective outer cover.

Quality vinyl, by well loved artists and genres like punk, metal, blues, soul, jazz, reggae etc, can only appreciate in value.

I have given up now on savings, due to low interest rates, and I now put most of my spare money into vinyl.
