Grade Vinyl: VG+ / Grade Cover: EX
Up for auction is a mega rare original French pressing released on Vogue Records (574017) in 1980. Original cover with lyrics printed on back. (see photo).
LP is graded: VG+/EX. Vinyl is VG+. Rather nice looking vinyl with a few visible but NON AUDIBLE surface scratches, but for one on A/track 1 small click/jump (really nothing serious). Only rated VG+ though. It plays with a little crackle/noise in the grooves throughout the record. (hence the starting price for such a rarity).
Elli & Jacno was a French 1980s Synth-Wave, Electro-Pop group. They were quite successful in France and to some extent in the UK., having been featured once on the front page of Melody Maker magazine. Denis Quillard alias Jacno and Elli Medeiros decided to start a music duo after leaving the French punk band The Stinky Toys. Jacno composed and performed the music and Elli sang and wrote the lyrics. They released three albums together before splitting up and beginning solo careers.
If yo´re into this early 80s french synthpop/wave, we really have to recommend you to try to find a copy of the Mathematiques Modernes/Les Visiteur du Soir album. Fantastic stuff !
