Title: “Side by Side”
Label: VERVE. Label is flat black with silver text. Wide-band STEREOPHONIC “Living Sound Fidelity” logo. Stereo pressing on medium thick vinyl with wide deep groove. Catalog number is MG VS-6109.
Year: 1960
Personnel: 1-1, 1-2, 1-4: Johnny Hodges – alto sax; Duke Ellington – piano; Harry Edison – trumpet; Al Hall – bass; Leslie Spann – guitar and flute; Jo Jones – drums.
1-3, all of side 2: Johnny Hodges – alto sax; Ben Webster – tenor sax; Roy Eldridge – trumpet; Lawrence Brown – trombone; Wendell Marshall – bass; Billy Strayhorn – piano; Jo Jones – drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is flawless NM with 100% of original gloss, appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care. Labels are clean. Fidelity is superb in original true stereo. A gorgeous disc you will never need to upgrade.
JACKET: Jacket is beautiful NM- in original loose-fitting poly bag. A lovely item for the wise collector who insists on top condition.
