Sophie Ellis Bextor has been one of the unlikely stars of the lockdown year that was. She decided to host her own live stream live from home for many of the early months. Her distinctive brand of super carefree and upbeat pop was a perfect tonic for dark days with nothing to do and she got many a TV appearance out of it afterwards. Now new pliable Plastic Pop kicks off by making her debut album Read My Lips available for the very first time on double red vinyl. It includes the big tunes everyone and their mum knows from 'Murder on the Dancefloor' to 'Take Me Home (A Girl Like Me)' but also plenty more delightful pop nuggets and even some oddball stuff like 'Sparkle.'
