ELMAN ENCORES – LXT 5304 – ELMAN / SEIGER

Decca mono recording on orange/silver label, catalogue number LXT 5304. Mischa Elman (violin) with piano accompaniment by Joseph Seiger playing 10 short pieces.

The disc is overall clean and shiny and the sound quality is excellent. There are a few ticks (6 on side 1 and 8 on side 2) plus a small inaudible mark at the start of side 2. The laminated flip-back sleeve has considerable edge and corner wear/creasing plus record impress and scuffing. At right-hand edge is sticky tape plus laminate lift.
