ELMER GANTRY’S VELVET OPERA – (featuring John Ford and Richard Hudson – later in The Strawbs) MEGA RARE Original Psych Vinyl LP, released on Direction Records, Catalogue No 8-63300 (Stamped Matrix A1 / B2), year 1968. The Vinyl is visually in (VG-) Condition with some noticeable surface marks and light scratches and generally plays through fine with some noticeable surface noise / and a few clicks (Here and There) On side two there are a couple of light scratches which produce more pronounced playing noise. The Yellow / Black DIRECTION Record Labels are Clean. The front laminated picture LP sleeve is in (VG-) condition, with a few creases and a little wear in the top left hand corner. The spine has some light wear. The non-laminated back of the sleeve has some light discoloration along the top and edges. Comes with plain white inner sleeve. A classic and Ultra rare original Velvet Opera LP on collectable Direction label.
