This 1ST PRESSING lp is the self-titled debut Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera. This was released in 1967 by Epic Records. This is #BN 26415, stereo. The trail off matrix for Side 1 is XSB137848-1A. The trail off matrix for Side 2 is XSB137849-1B. See the pics for further details. The vinyl is VG, clean & shiny. There are some obvious surface marks/scratches on both sides from handling/usage, as seen under a strong light. There's a wider smudge or scratch on Side 1 at the end of the 1st track most of the way into track 2. A similar smudge or scratch is on Side 2, track 1. Again, will they affect play or be audible? I don't have a turntable to play test this lp so buyer accepts these problems & conditions. Otherwise, the lp looks rarely played. I REPEAT, I don't have equipment to play test this. They may or may not affect play or be audible when playing. The jacket is VG with obvious wear and/or dings all mostly on the front. There is chipping of the paper & artwork, dinged/pushed corners, etc. Some decades long staining across the bottom front & minor damage where this jacket stuck slightly to the lp jacket of the lp in front of it on my shelving. After sitting for decades on my shelving in my basement, HURRICANE SANDY DESTROYED much of my collections in various categories back in October 2012. Some of my archive was rescued only by being on higher shelves. So the dampness or whatever caused the jacket to stick & when peeled apart, you see from the photos what happened. I still get pissed, sad, whatever you can say, when I handle some of what's been saved. The more I type the more angry I'm getting. This record would've sold for much higher than I'm asking because of these details. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM IF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS WILL BOTHER YOU OR BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. THIS ITEM IS SOLD AS IS.
