ELMER GANTRY’S VELVET OPERA  self-titled original UK Direction label 1968 LP

Direction 8-63300 (cover), S 8-63300 (label), 1968 UK issue, matrix numbers S8-63300 A1, S8 63300 B2; front laminated sleeve.


Cover  EX/EX-  Very firm front-laminated sleeve with no wear on edges or spine; spine print is perfect but background has four small foxing spots; laminate retains a good gloss finish but has a few short creases and, in the top left corner, one longer one; a tiny fraction of laminate wear in the corners; rear panel looks great, with just a slight bend in the top left corner and some mild foxing.

Disc is supplied in a new poly-lined inner sleeve, original poly-lined inner is also included (light scuff in one corner, some foxing and tanning marks).

 

Disc  EX+(+)  Lovely glossy, fresh appearance to vinyl, virtually ‘as new’. Labels look great but close inspection reveals some very faint, almost transparent spots on both. Sound and play performance is superb.
