Description

ELO. Out of the blue. Original UK BIG Jet DP400 2 X BLUE & 2 X BLACK Vinyl & OIS. STICKERED SPECIAL EDITION BLUE VINYL.
Both sets of records and paperwork have matching Catalogue numbers.
Original UK 1977 Pressing. I am no expert on this matters, but the matrix numbers are as follows.
BLUE Vinyl Edition. Side 1 A2 Side 2 B2 Side 3 C1 Side 4 D3 Matrix Etched Jet DP 400 Pressed ALLEN.
BLACK Vinyl Edition. Side 1 A1 Side 2 B1 Side 3 C2 Side 4 D2 Matrix Etched Jet DP 400 Pressed ALLEN.
The Jet LOGO on the back of the gatefold sleeve is of the rarer big Jet, placed in a different position to the standard version. Printed by Shorepak. NO BAR CODES.
The records labels on the blue versions are grey/blue, where as the black records are the standard Jet blue versions. 
The original inner sleeves are slightly different.
The early blue records belong to the slope edged inners.
The black records belong to square edged inners.
Both sets show signs of age related wear.
1 X mispressed inner sleeve where the opening is visible from the incorrect side.
The records play excellently, with the minimum of surface noise and markings.
The sleeve has minimal edge and ring ware.
The records will come in new high grade white sleeves and a used PVC double outer sleeve.
Please note there is a defect on side 3's label. Please see picture provided.
I only have a spare set of black versions because the original cover was badly damaged. So placed them together to make a better package.

This has been in storage for several years and has only been played a minimal amount of times.

When the record was played, it was on a Technics SL1210 MK2 turntable fitted with a Stanton  AL 500 MK2 Cartridge and stylus.
All records will be deep washed, and polished with Audio Zomba SHIMMER professional vinyl record cleaner and a fine micro fibre cloth.
The process I use removes the debris deep from the groove, then polishes the Audio Zomba Vinyl restoration fluid which contains Ilford  non-ionic photographic surfactant. A groove seeking fine dispersant spray which used with a micro fibre cloth, removes static. Even better after it has been washed. A must for all vinyl users at a reasonable cost.
