HELP 1
SECOND ALBUM from this progressive rock behemoth and recorded live in concert premiering their interpretation of Mussorgsky's composition 'Pictures At An Exhibition'. An ambitious work to be sure and one accomplished with poise and precision allowing the band to take on this massive challenge with sensitivity and, of course, just the correct degree of bombast.
Naturally all three members shine throughout but its hard not to be particularly impressed with keyboardists Keith Emerson whose wild and wacky sounds elevate what, in the hands of lesser mortals, might well have turned into a dirge of self indulgence. Emerson's light jazz touch and jaw dropping dexterity makes for compulsive listening amidst the continuously flowing musical passages.
A little light hearted relief at the close of side two with a barnstorming rampage through Kim Fowley's laugh a minute 'Nutrocker' standard.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks and virtually no other signs of use. Grades as shop fresh MINT-!
Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated matt finish gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Nice thick spine - straight, stiff and uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 46 years after release. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
