ELTON JOHN CAPTAIN FANTASTIC AND THE BROWN DIRT COWBOY - ORIGINAL UK 1975 DJM LP FIRST PRESS A1/B1 MAGENTA TRANSLUCENT VINYL WITH RARE UNUSED POSTER AND BOOKLETS
A super rare very first press with etched A1 / B1 matrices and 'ARUN' etched in dead wax
The ultimate and most sought-after pressing to own of this classic early Elton John LP - sounds superb - deep, rich heavy and detailed First Press press audio !
The black vinyl is translucent magenta when held to the light - making this a very rare and collectible edition of this iconic LP. Later pressings were simply black vinyl.
Vinyl is in VG condition - a few light non-feelable scuffs mainly on S1 which produce some very light crackle in the quieter parts and over the last two tracks but no skips or jumps
The heavy card Gatefold cover is in VG+ condition with a few light corner scuffs commensurate with age
The illustrated booklets are in EX+ barely read condition
This also comes with the SUPER-RARE large poster which is in NM condition and has never been hung and barely opened
Vinyl is housed in an original generic off white inner sleeve EX
this is due to the unique process at the Tranco pressing plant.

Due to a house move I am reluctantly downsizing my large collection of vinyl LPs - mostly bought at the time of release and have had minimal play as I taped them back in the day and listened mainly on cassettes. I always tried to buy the earliest pressings and made sure all the extras, inserts, booklets, limited edition covers etc were included.
Stored upright in a dust and pet free environment they are now ready to move on to a new collection.
