SIXTH ALBUM from this, at the time, young prodigious talent. The contents are brilliantly written and executed with Elton pushing the boundaries of contemporary singer-songwriter excellence. Backed by progressive rock band Hookfoot, the content is deliciously expansive with tracks such as 'Daniel' and 'Crocodile Rock' marking a high point in his career.
As you know, the first edition of this album was issued in a gatefold cover with a 12 page lyric booklet stapled into the centre. Later copies were drastically changed when Elton's career began to take off commercially in an effort to save on manufacturing costs. This is an original copy with MINT vinyl and totally MINT cover - so hard to find.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. Blood red vinyl when held up to a strong light. No spindle marks on labels and no signs of any use. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
Cover: No visible signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully laminated gatefold cover with 12 page booklet. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 51 years. Grades as MINT!
