Description

  • "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player" was Elton John's sixth album when it was released by MCA Records in late 1972. It quickly topped the charts with help from hit singles "Crocodile Rock" and "Daniel."

  • This is a rare copy from the first press run in excellent condition that still has its original factory shrink wrap. I grade the gatefold sleeve, original 12-page lyrics booklet, and vinyl disc as VG+ which is as high as I rate vintage vinyl.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 48 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
