Original 1st UK issue Limited Edition Double album Yellow Vinyl! Very Near Mint Archive copy! Only played three or four times ever!
Near Mint stunning audio! No loud clicks or pops!
"strawberry" Hand etched on all four sides (original master pressers signature)
Another from my personal collection. Purchased from new in the mid seventies and initially only ever played to record to tape and then stored in a case with the vinyls separated from the cover and sleeves for protection. This is how I have always stored my records! These albums with the yellow vinyl were initially only released as a limited edition and original 1st UK issues are extremely hard to find in this 'almost un played condition' The vinyls look and play in almost as new condition and the playing surfaces look near immaculate in my opinion! This is complete with the original white paper sleeves and the tri opening non laminated gate fold cover in mint minus condition! Very desirable, collectable and sought after like this!

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the seventh studio album by the British singer-songwriter Elton John.
Released in 1973, it has come to be regarded as one of his best and most popular albums. Recorded at the Château d'Hérouville, the album contains the Marilyn Monroe tribute, "Candle in the Wind", as well as three other successful singles: "Bennie and the Jets", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting".
Under the working titles of Vodka and Tonics and Silent Movies, Talking Pictures, Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics in two and a half weeks, with John composing most of the music in three days while staying at the Pink Flamingo Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica. He had wanted to go to Jamaica he has said, in part, because the Rolling Stones had just recorded Goats Head Soup there.
Production on the album was started in Jamaica in January 1973, though after difficulties with the sound system and the studio piano, coupled with disturbance due to the Joe Frazier and George Foreman boxing match taking place in Kingston, and violent political tension due to the poor economic situation, the band decided to move before any productive work was done.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was recorded in two weeks at the Château d'Hérouville in France, where John had previously recorded Honky Château and Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player. Only a version of "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" was recorded in Jamaica, but that recording was discarded and the final, released version of the song came from the sessions at the château.

The vinyls
There is not much to say about the vinyls, on initial inspection these look almost as new. Any marks that could possibly be seen on the playing surfaces would be just sleeve removal only. Importantly, at least there are no marks that would cause any loud clicks or pops during the play of the audio.
The Audio quality
I have played all four sides one time prior to this listing at very loud volume on a top system! The audio is clear clean and vibrant on all four sides and reflects the visual appearance that these have barely ever been played no more than a hand full of times ever! Please note, it is easy to be critical about these early editions because the vinyl is notoriously softer compared to the black vinyls and light static should be considered during the play but when in this condition the audio is on a par in my personal opinion. I would grade the audio as very near mint through out!
Please note! I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for isolated light static/tick on these early coloured vinyls (but not consistant through out the audio! Please remember that this is an original mid seventies album that would have originally been played on a mid seventies system having said that I never noticed any interference that was detrimental that would spoil the over all awesome audio experience at all!
The Record Sleeves
These are the original thin plain white sleeves no splits or tares just light creasing with age only (original)
The Cover
Thjis is the original un laminated tri gate fold cover in truly exceptional condition through out. No splits or tares On initial inspection this looks almost like new! There are no creases to mention at all all writing is fully legible! The cover has always been kepte in a poly liner and stored in a case with the vinyl seperated to reduce ring ware. On close scrutiny there is light corner bumping to mention only and very light rubbing and the top edge of the spine edge but very light in my opinion. I would grade this awesome cover at least excellent plus!
