Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
1973 England pressed DJM Records 2 x yellow vinyl stereo LP set housed in tri-fold sleeve, DJE 29001.
STRAWBERRY etched to dead wax/run outs.
Vinyl visually a strong EX with no discernible marks save for a small area of non-sounding and superficial patina to side four, presumed as issued. Spindle activity is minimal.
Playback is graded a conservative VG however as some occasional crackle and an occasional soft tick. No loud and consecutive ticks however and much of the set plays EX.
Labels are clean and unmarked.
Plain paper inner sleeves are sound with minor creasing.
External sleeve graded a conservative G plus. Overall better than this but there is evidence of water staining along bottom edge which, although now fully dried out, has left some tide marks stains here and there at the bottom edge. These are less marked to the exterior. The sleeve also has a slightly musty storage aroma and some very minor tan spotting here and there. Otherwise would grade a very comfortable VG. The main panels are free of damage bar the staining mentioned. No stickers, inscriptions etc. Light wear to edges and tips, minor whitening wear at joints. Not heavily scuffed however and spine text still legible.
