Title: Open End Interview CONDITION: Record: VG to VG+ condition. Still glossy but with light to moderate marks. Clean labels. No stickers, writing etc. Sleeve: VG to VG- condition. No splits, writing, stickers etc. Fair amount of manhandling creases, corner dings & bends. No serious ring wear but it's been moved around a lot over the years. Somebody should have been more careful. Moderate spine wear and light lower seam wear. Faint stain on the front. Light stain and tiny tear on back cover. No splits, writing or stickers. etc. Label: Paramount DJS-1(Promo Only) Overall Condition: Pretty RARE indeed!! Description: The one to have! I'm being as critical as I can be on grading this. Always ship my records packed between thick cardboard in a mailer with the disc in a white sleeve out of the cover, which is in a plastic sleeve. WOW! MEGA rare classic period Elton John PROMO ONLY Interview Lp!! If you collect E.J., then you know how rare this is. Early 70's interview Lp only available to radio stations. I do not have the script that originally came with this. They were usually discarded after use. The script would have the questions the local radio DJ would ask. Then Elton would answer the question, from the record, as if he were actually in the studio making it seem as if he was there with that DJ at that station. Even without the script, it's clear what he's been asked and what question he's answering as he talks quite a bit. You pretty much don't need the script. There are also 5 songs played from the "Friends" movie soundtrack. They are: Friends, Honey Roll, Can I Put You On, Michelle's Song & Seasons Change. It's funny now, after 45 + years, to hear him talk and his thoughts wayyy back then in his much younger voice. He's very animated and chatty. I've only seen about 4 of these in my 45 years of collecting and I own 2 of them. If you have all those early 45s and Lps, you need this too. Pretty rare indeed.
