PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE 33 rpm one-side mono metal acetate of Elton's cover of The Who's Pinball Wizard, presumably from 1975, on Summit Studios' label with 1130 W. Evans address in Denver!!! I have never seen a US pressing of this track on a 45 and a quick look at Discogs, interestingly enough, says there never was one. Maybe it was planned but never came to fruition? If anyone can shed any light on this disc please get in touch. The rear of the disc is blank and has some flaking so I only handle it by the center hole to minimize the risk of anything further. The A side a has few tiny flake spots in the dead wax at the start. The disc is delicate and will need to be packed extra securely in an LP-sized mailer to avoid having with the edges make any contact with a 7" sleeve and will require extra insurance due to its rarity so please wait for an invoice. Don't sleep Elton collectors. This may be a one-of-a-kind rarity.
