Description
This is a bit of an anomaly, a UK cover, and the LP labels are from Elton's music company, "Dick James Music", but the DJM label also says made in the USA. Interesting. The dead wax has the inscription MCA 354 W2", indicating the US company that put out his albums here, MCA Records. So, I'm unsure, though it is certainly a vintage original copy. Like my 1970 Jeep Gladiator, it was put out at the company's switch in 1970 to AMC manufacturing, so what is it really. A Frankenstein lol. Either way, they're both in great shape. I'm listening to Side 3 now, which I saw had a couple of light marks, but it sounds really good, little background noise for its age, and the clarity is loud and clean. I'm glad I had a reason to listen to it! Other than the light marks mentioned above on Side 3, all the other Sides look and sound great (we listened all the way through last week, great vinyl). The cover is in very nice shape as well, NO splitting, taken care of very nicely especially considering it was made with the typically light UK card stock. VERY legible spine, and just some corner bumping from its almost 46 years (yikes I'm old). This was a strange dark somewhat naughty lyric'd album from 1973 that played repeatedly on the radio, and on my church camp turntable during dances, etc lol. Oh to be 13 again...maybe not ;) This is a very nice copy ready to be jamming on your record player, get it while we've got it, Elton John always goes fast here. We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
