THE VINYLS   MINT-   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized 1973 TRANSLUCENT RED VINYL pressing - Stored from new this LP has seen possibly a couple of plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere.

These PYE pressed vinyls show red when held to the light, many earkly presed PYE LPs had this finish, some are charcoal, some are a purple colour..theres many tales about how this happened, but all we know is that they are generally regarded as the first pressings. Later copies with higher matrix numbers are generally black solid vinyl.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

A COUPLE OF light spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There is barely a hint of any whisp lines, and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves..it sounds like new as it could be! Along the way a couple of dust pops and some light static in the deasd grooves..but overall this is an amazing play!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

Correct FLAT MATT  first UK issued earliest sleeve  -by GARROD & LOFTHOUSE..Super wide spine tri-fold sleeve

A very hard to find record in any decent condition -the sleeves are so hard to find without bad creasing on the tri-fold and spine damage, and we rarely manage to see a copy in any decent condition. This sleeve is a very nice copy.

The edges have some fine traces of rub , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

No powdery white ringwear - some very light ring press, and just a few tiny feint flecs of rub on the seams

The spine is super -no squash and all titles perfectly readable. a little edge wear on the top and bottom -the opposite spine is superb with no wear of any note.

the lightest of tip rub & a few spider lines over the edge of the spine, and edges. ONE SMALL PRICE STICKER RESIDUE ON TOP RIGHT

THE GATEFOLD- When laid out it is stunning, where most copies we see have the bad crease down the right side (a design fault as the sleeves were shut over each other they could easily sustain creasing without very careful handling..) This sleeve is fantastic with barely a hint of crease on that right side panel.

OVERALL A CRACKING COPY FOR ANY COLLECTION.
