Description
Culled from my 50 year vinyl Elton John collection, these Rocket Records label artists are all hard to find, long out of print discs now. In many cases, especially in the early years of the Rocket label existence (1973), Elton was very involved in promoting the labels' artist roster. He would play piano, do harmony vocals, write the music, produce the album, promote the album. His band members(most notably Davey Johnstone and Ray Cooper) would be there playing in the band. Bernie Taupin would even show up in the oddest of places (like on Neil Sedaka's album cover). It was a family and had a great logo also. "The little record company who could." Records and sleeves are all in excellent condition (unless noted). Many are unplayed and have been sealed away in storage for the last 40 plus years. I will also mention any notable fact like country of manufacture, PROMO label or with hype sticker for example. These batches are priced to move, there are some real gems in there also. I am happy to combine batches, and will refund any overage of postage. Thanks for looking. Domestic media rate postage $5.50 PS-Pictured is the front covers first, then the back covers on 2nd picture. If you see black sharpie writing on the back cover(s) picture, it is not on the album itself but rather the outer poly sleeve and are my notations. Albums are all from a temperature controlled, smoke and sunlight free home and have been cared for by this collector for half a century. Hoping to find a new home to continue their journey. This is a seldom offered opportunity for the true fan out there, priced to move!
