Elvis Presley LP. USA. A DATE WITH ELVIS. 10 songs on album originally issued in 1959 while Elvis was on the US Army. 5 of the songs were left over from the Sun Records Sessions of 1954-55. Classics like BABY LET’S PLAY HOUSE, and I FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO FORGET. The Beatles adored these songs!! It was originally from 1959 but this reissue version is from 1970s, with updated Orange RCA Labels!! Elvis was having a rebirth and selling well after his late 60s comeback, and RCA loved reissuing and updating his US catalog often!! Same original 10 songs, This one is Fantastic!! Great tunes before his early 60s movie decline! A beautiful unique cover! Hop in the convertible with Elvis!! The vinyl is graded Goldmine EX, my highest grade for opened items!! It appears UNPLAYED. Fully shiny and no writing! NOTE: the only flaws are the 3 black ink marks on the back cover near 3 song titles, and the small numbered stick with “266” on upper left corner on front cover, noting it was my 266th non-Beatles. album, about 1972! Photos 1-8 are the item for sale, record, Cover sleeve, and original inner sleeve with cool 70s Albums and 8-tracks by Elvis!!! I started collecting worldwide Rock and Roll albums and 45s after High School, 1970 or so. II am starting to sell them off. I doubt RCA will ever reissue this vinyl LP again, so getting a copy under $50 is a Now or Never proposition, unless you search for these on eBay, etc!!! Additional rarity hits here are: YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL, BABY I DON’T CARE, and GOOD ROCKIN’ TONIGHT!!! And my favorite from this batch, BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY!!! LP is an Amazing conglomeration of interesting songs!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 60 years later. And all songs on this LP were Elvis early pre-60s originals. They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy and feelings from young Elvis!! This is a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding! This LP is well kept and in plastic sleeve since its purchase by me in 1972. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible. Read more on “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site.
