Description
Blue Suede Shoes / Tutti Frutti. VG++ vinyl with clean labels (horizontal silver line).
It's early '56 and this would be Elvis' 3rd charting song, peaking out at #20 early that summer. BUT...it had only been released on EP and that was the cut the DJs were playing. Elvis had been insistent that the song not be released as a single until his SunBuddy Carl Perkins' version was off the charts.
In early fall, RCA started flooding the market with a series of Elvis singles, most of them album tracks, and most of them never hitting the charts. This was one of that series and since everyone had already bought the album/EP, nobody bought the single, making this one of his rarer releases.
