VERY RARE 1980 DJ Only PROMO
ELVIS COSTELLO - GET HAPPY 2 x Vinyl LP 45 RPM. Issued to Radio Stations in the UK for Promotional Play Only This is a VERY RARE 2 LP version at 45 RPM issued on F BEAT Records.
For those who have heard the original F Beat UK pressing and the Columbia US Records pressing, you know the difference is clear. The UK press has Nick Lowe's original mix, with much deeper bass. This is present on the single disc F Beat version but the 45 RPM 2 LP version is how it should have been released.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs issued a special edition 2 LP version 2 years ago, but the mix is still based on the US mix, not the original Lowe UK mix... which has some awesome low end
Vinyl 1 is VG+ or better. Minor sleeve rub that doesn't effect play. Vinyl 2 is Excellent. Both appear to have very little playing time and sound AMAZING The covers are both white generic with some discoloration. They have printed track listings and album info and also some radio station stamps, including "Rick Davies CAPITOL RADIO"
