Description
A great opportunity to buy a VINYL LP from the 1970s by Elvis Costello called "My Aim Is True".
This is a very early, if not FIRST PRESSING copy of this his debut album.
Included with the record is the RARE PROMOTIONAL insert "HELP US HYPE ELVIS", which was only included with a 1000 LPs pressed/sold to encourage buyers to share with others their love of Elvis. This insert has been preserved in pristine condition and is a super rarity (see the pictures of both sides of the sheet, the reverse being plain, clean and uncreased).
The LP is a U.K. pressing released in 1977 on the Stiff label (SEEZ 3)(stereo) and has 12 tracks (including his early singles "Less Than Zero", "Alison" and "Red Shoes").
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- I1 SEEZ 3 A1 EG A PORKY PRIME CUT ELVIS IS KING (side one) and I1 SEEZ 3 B1 EG ON THIS SIDE TOO A PORKY PRIME CUT TOO (side two).
The vinyl is in a lovely clean and shiny NEAR-MINT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there is just the odd light surface mark to suggest it has been played. Just two light marks on the opening track on side two, but these do not affect the playing or sound quality.
I have played the whole of both sides and they both play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or defects.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original plain black unlined inner sleeve in an EXCELLENT condition.
The front and back LAMINATED picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition.The edges and spine are very strong and there is just a faint crease in the top corner on the back, noticeable when tilted, otherwise it is almost as new!
