I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NICE COLLECTION OF UNIQUE PROMOS / TEST PRESSING AND ACETATE. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN A MAJOR RADIO STATION FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE EARLY 1990'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING ACETATE ETC.. OF ROCK / PUNK / SOUL / PROG ETC... SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES.
This is a RARE UK ORIGINAL TEST PRESSING 7" SINGLE BY ELVIS COSTELLO / NICK LOWE entitled "WHAT'S SO FUNNY BOUT (PEACE LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING)" from 1978, ORIGINAL UK TEST PRESSING IN AMAZING CONDITON AND A MUST !!! This copy is a RARE UK TEST PRESSING COPY and was only sent as a promo to radio stations and reviewers !!! This collection came from a major UK radio person who worked in a major UK radio station from the late 60's to the late 90's all the copies were ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUES or PROMO COPIES !!! This TEST PRESSING 7" was pressed in 1978 on RADAR RECORDS, catalogue number ADA 26. The single has the sereated edges and the matrices are: SIDE A: ADA 26-A2-3 and SNEAKY JAKEY and A and 1 (on the 9 and 3 o'clock positions), SIDE B: ADA 26-A1-3 and A PORKY PRIME CUT and a 2 on the 3 o'clock position. The tracks are: ELVIS COSTELLO AND NICK LOWE - WHAT'S SO FUNNY 'BOUT (PEACE LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING) / NICK LOWE - AMERICAN SQUIRM.
This TEST PRESSING 7" also comes with the ORIGINAL WHITE CUT SLEEVE with hand written information and the ORIGINAL PROMOTION COMPANY STICKER (I have hidden the name of the radio person under the pink paper for privacy) and the condition of the VINYL is EX++++ / MINT- (PLAYED ONCE).
DON'T LET THIS RARE ORIGINAL UK TEST PRESSING ELVIS COSTELLO / NICK LOWE 7" get away as you will NEVER see another one.
DUE TO A RECENT ISSUE ALL PARCELS OVER £20.00 WILL NOW HAVE TO BE POSTED REGISTERED POST at extra cost of £1.50 (UK) and £5.20 (REST OF THE WORLD) !!!
