IT'S NOW OR NEVER - GREEN LABEL DEMO (RCA 1207)
Most Elvis collectors are well aware of how rare and collectable these items are - something which is reflected in their resale value. Although no one knows for sure how many copies were made it is safe to say very few; and, at the time of their manufacture, the general public had no knowledge of their existence - which makes them genuinely rare. Very importantly, they were never intended to be sold to the general public.
This single-sided, solid centred demo, manufactured by Decca Record Company on behalf of RCA in the UK, was the A-side of Elvis' third post-army single in the UK in 1960. However, unlike the standard release (a million-seller), this 57 year-old demo does not turn up very often either on eBay or other sites. When the UK vinyl reference book Elvis UK was published in 1987 no information about this release was given as, at that time, the authors had not seen copies and so could not confirm its existence. This gives some indication of its rarity value.
This particular copy is in very good to excellent / condition overall (I would say the vinyl is actually (Ex-/ VG+). The label is generally very clean overall (though you will note someone's name has been written on), and the time code appears (which was added at Decca), along with the catalogue number (RCA 1207) being rubber-stamped on the label.
