Description
This is a rare opportunity to acquire the second from last Elvis 78 record that was pressed by RCA, in 1960 . It is on the RCA label, cat. number 1187 and was only available by order as 45s were the up & coming thing at the time. Black label with silver script .
If you are an Elvis collector or just want an investment this is a must, as there are very few of these around. It took me many years to track down his last three 78s but lack of space now means that they all must go. This is the first & it is a wrench!
Side 1 - Stuck on You Side 2 - Fame And Fortune. The record is in Excellent Minus condition and comes, as it was sold originally, in a plain sleeve. A GREAT sound!
Records graded in line with The Record Collectors Grading System as shown below:
Mint (M) Record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration of sound quality. The cover, lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition . Some may be sealed or unplayed. Excellent (EX.)Record shows signs of having been played but there is little lessening of sound quality. An excellent cover may have slight wear and/ or creasing. Very Good (VG.) Record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratches. A very good cover shows normal wear and tear for its age with no major defects. Plus(+) or Minus(-) is used to show that the item lies between grades. Company sleeves are not graded!
This record has been played to ascertain sound quality on a hi-fi system using a Shure M75 ED , Type 2 cartridge with a 78 rpm. stylus, tracking at 1.5 gms.
We try to be accurate with grading & if in doubt we tend to undergrade, however mistakes may occur & if there are any problems please contact me directly. Refunds will be made if not happy, but not, I'm afraid postage costs.
This 78 will be packed in a bespoke polystyrene box and dispatched by Royal Mail for delivery by 1pm. within the next 2 working days.
I have sent records, including 78s, all over the world and have never had breakages!
