ELVIS PRESLEY

“AS RECORDED AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN”

Rare and hard-to-find original Stereo RCA Victor Records very first press released in Chile in 1972!!!, catalog number LSP-4776, with yellow RCA Victor labels!!! Yes, WHAT A FIND!!!

Like most of the Chilean records of that period, this album has an UNIQUE cover, a thin cardboard folded in 2 parts, so 3 sides are open, with a extremely thin paper as front cover pasted to the cardboard and all kept together with an outer plastic bag. In front cover the title is in English but in back cover it’s in Spanish, adding the city of the concert: New York. Track list is also in Spanish, translated to English, with publicity for other 4 records of Elvis released by RCA Victor in Chile

The cover is in superb EX+ or NM- condition, clean, no ring marks, only very minimal wear in the side of the mouth. The record is in superb EX- or EX condition in Side 1 and VG- or VG in Side 2 (it has a white stain wich doesn’t affect sound), glossy, clean and with very light hairlines and some scuffs and light scratches hardly to see which don’t affect sound. Labels on both sides are in NM or NM+ condition, absolutely clean and perfect but in Side 2 it’s a stamp with a name and an address. The sound is in strong VG or VG+ condition, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), but light crackles here and there wich don’t distract at all. Overall a fabulous record with a great look and a still a very nice sound quality after 37 years!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I can declare the record as gift if you want.

If you have some doubt or question contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
