ELVIS PRESLEY Backin Memphis LP

1970 USA RCA LSP-4429 tan label original

In January 1969 hot on the heels of his fabulous televised 1968 Comeback Special Elvis headed on down to Memphis and recorded enough material to fill two albums and have a couple of great quality hit singles. This is the second of the two albums.

With musicians including Mike Leech, Tommy Cogbill, Bobby Emmons, Bobby Wood etc. and Chip Moman in the engineering booth the sparks really did fly.

This stuff really is the cream of the late model Elvis.

Tracks are: Inherit The Wind, This Is The Story, Stranger In My Own Home Town, A Little Bit Of Green, And The Grass Won’t Pay No Mind, Do You Know Who I Am?, From A Jack To A King, The Fair’s Moving On, You’ll Think Of Me, Without Love (There Is Nothing)

The sleeve shows very minor age wear.
