Good sound quality stereo recordings of complete performances that became Elvis’ 1968 NBC TV Special.

Gatefold sleeves.

Volume 1 has the harder to find Blue label edition.   Pink coloured labels are more common. 

Volume 2 has the harder to find Red label edition.   Pink coloured labels are more common. 

CONDITION:        I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).       STRICT   U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  See below for the full definitions as provided by Record Collector magazine. 

VOLUME 1:  Playing condition is graded as around the VG/VG+ mark.   Some background surface noise and occasional pops here and there.  Surface noise more noticeable on some, but not all, of the spoken word sections.   But even then, nothing that in any way smothers the sound recording.   NO loud crackle.   NO obtrusive repetitive clicks.   NO  distortion.   NO jumps.   NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl is VG, with disc2 a fraction better.    Surface marks only.  Nothing that feels to the touch.  

Labels in  EX- condition.   Light spindle marks evident.   NO tears.  NO stickers.  NO writing.  

Sleeve has a lot of damage.   Bottom edge of the first half of the gatefold is completely split.   Spine is split the whole way down.   Looks like the sleeve may have got wet at some point.   PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR A BETTER LOOK AT CONDITION.  

I will also supply a plastic outer sleeve.

VOLUME 2:    Playing condition is graded as EX for the first 3 sides and VG for side4.    First 3 sides play really well, with very little lessening in sound quality.   Side4 has some surface marks that result in some audible background pops - nothing severe and nothing that smothers the sound recording.    NO loud crackle.   NO distortion,   NO jumps,   NO sticking.  

Visually the vinyl is EX-,  with Side4 grading as VG.     Few and minor surface marks.  3 or 4 more noticeable surface marks on Side4.   Nothing that feels to the touch.  Overall, vinyl still retains its original sheen.  

Labels in  EX+ condition.   Very light spindle marks evident if held at a certain angle.  More on Side1.     NO tears.  NO stickers.  NO writing.  

Sleeve is in a lot better condition than its Vol 1 cousin.   Spine is intact, but the top edge of the second gatefold is completely split and two thirds of the bottom edge is split.  SEE PHOTOS.

I will also supply a plastic outer sleeve.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System  - VINYL

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
