Matrix / Runout (B Side Label): H2PP-6527
Label: RCA
Catalogue No: RD27052
Record Condition: Excellent (EX)
Sleeve Condition: Very Good (VG)
Record Visually: Excellent. Bright, shiny, glossy surfaces. Just one or two very light faint isolated marks only. The vinyl been handled and played very carefully over the years.
Record Audio Quality. Excellent. The album has been fully play tested. NO SKIPS!!!! Superb sound quality plays with a clear sharp sound and importantly NO sound distortion!!!. Many other copies of this album suffer from sound distortion often due to being played with incorrect or damaged needles over the years. There is very light low-level background noise between the tracks and on quiet passages. Only Blue Christmas has 2 low-level pops which maybe due to static as there is no mark there.
Labels: The 'Siver Print' text is bright and clear and there are no marking to the labels. The album has been carefully played without much wear to the centre hole, spindle marks are visible.
Front Cover: Lovely solid shape. Nice vibrant colours. A few areas of laminate peel and lifting to the front opening edge which is very common with this album (see photos).?
Back Cover: Reasonably white looking although with yellowing & staining to the edges. Some laminate is missing from the opening edge and a little on the flipbacks. ?These is split to the opening edge which is approx 7cm in length which has been repaired (see photos). However these faults do not detract from the overall appearance of this great looking cover.
OVERALL A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE!!
For it's time, 1957 it must rank as one of the greatest Christmas albums ever made. This would make a nice upgrade or that very special Elvis Christmas present.
