ELVIS PRESLEY – “CLAMBAKE” (LSP-3893), A FIRST PRESSING WITH THE ELVIS & PRISCILLA BONUS WEDDING PHOTO FROM 1967!
RECORD: VG+ (Strong) with pleasing, glossy surfaces! There are some very light surface scuffs and scratches, none of which can be felt with the fingertip. This Rockaway pressing was test-played in its entirety and it played great from beginning to end with clear high fidelity; strong vocals and instrumentation! Sure, there were a few subtle "ticks" in some areas, but definitely no skips or repeats. This Original Soundtrack Recording is always fun to listen to. It was released in November of 1967 and includes the singles, “Big Boss Man / You Don't Know Me” and “Guitar Man”. Unfortunately, this album was deleted from “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” shortly after its initial release and was not to be available again until September of 1977, just after Elvis' untimely death. The matrix numbers end with 4S/4S.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) with only very light ring wear on each side. The front and back slicks remain very clean and glossy. There is some wear to a few of the corner tips, especially the upper left corner tip. The upper right tip is “dinged”. Despite these corner issues, this cover is in remarkable condition given its age and lack of shrink wrap. A very clean and highly presentable cover!
INNER SLEEVE: The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) sleeve is included.
BONUS PHOTO: NM- with no bends or creases anywhere within the central design. The only bend on this photo is to the upper right corner tip, within the outer white frame. All colors remain strong and bold. The back side remains very clean and white, with only minimal evidence of yellowing from age. Under inspection under a bright light, I cannot even detect any record lip impression that is so commonly seen on the majority of these Bonus Photos. There are absolutely no tears, writing, pinholes or tape anywhere on this photo. Gorgeous!
