Elvis Presley's music was hopelessly out of date by the time he made Easy Come, Easy Go, his 23rd film: a breezy but fairly dire 1967 movie in which he played a frogman hunting for sunken treasure. He wasn't getting access to the best songs anymore, and the film wasn't going to do anything for anyone's career (though it did give work to such movie veterans as Elsa Lanchester and Frank McHugh). Yet, when he got into the right groove, even on a less-than-great song such as the title track, or "You Gotta Stop," or even "Sing You Children," he was charismatic enough to carry the material and make it worth hearing. The outtake version of "The Love Machine," with more prominent lead guitar (courtesy of Scotty Moore), and a hotter, more upfront brass section, and "Sing You Children," with a more stripped-down arrangement, are both worthwhile additions to the soundtrack. This album is eminently listenable if one ignores "Yoga Is as Yoga Does," which occupies a place near the bottom of Presley's song output on anyone's list.

·       45-RPM EP RECORD:

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted below, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the normal room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG VG++, just a notch below NEAR MINT. A few light abrasions (probably just sleeve scuffs inflicted in storage over the years) ARE VISIBLE, but they appear fairly  insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are only moderately visually distracting. For most part, the vinyl looks impeccable, without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            White Promo Label version of this title is much rarer that a regular, commercially released, version of this title. We estimate that stock copies of this album outnumber promo copies by a ratio of at least 200:1.

(c)           PLEASE NOTE:  This - of course - is an ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       PICTURE SLEEVE

THE SLEEVE IS NICE --- ABOUT VG++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the sleeve:

-         Sleeve has a partially split top seam (less than 1 inch / 2.5 centimeters)

-        Sleeve has some minor ring wear   On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 3  (front side) and 4 (back side).

-        Sleeve shows minor  yellowing on back sides, apparently from aging  (nothing significant).

-         Front of the sleeve has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record),  probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE SLEEVE:

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No stains

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
