Over the coming weeks I will be trying to list an abundance of vinyl I have to sell to make way for other vinyl I keep buying! I will have plenty of Elvis & other 50s artists especially & also a lot of 80s, 90s & 2000s. I will be starting with Elvis duplicates that I have, most of which are U.S pressings, though I will feature one very rare SEALED LP from El Salvador & some South African, Italian & tons of UK stuff ... LPs in the main.
Here we have - A copy of ELVIS aka ROCK N ROLL NO. 2 which is an oddity in that it has a 64 "RE" sleeve but contains an early 4S / 4S pressing disc from pre 59. It's a real nice cover that shows age, with a split along the bottom (why did the Americans make sleeves too small for the records?!) but still holds up very well & is clean and shiny. The vinyl is still very shiny but does have spindle wear, label wear & some battle scars. It plays with some background crackle, more so on the quiet moments but the faster, louder songs pack plenty of punch still. The very end of Rip It Up has an abrupt end / skip & the noisiest track, OLD SHEP, has a click from memory but the rest of the songs plays through very well & are still an enjoyable listen.
