ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS’ CHRISTMAS ALBUM (LPM-1951) RARE “MONO” COPY from 1963-64!
RECORD: VG- with clean, glossy surfaces. However, there are several scratches that result in some quite obvious audible “ticks”, but definitely no skips or repeats. The labels on this Hollywood pressing are simply gorgeous with the rich, artistic coloring that Hollywood labels are known for from this era! The Silver print stands out boldly from the semi-glossy black labels , including the highly desirable “MONO” seen at the base of the labels. These labels were available for just about one year from late 1963 through late 1964 when the “White Top” labels were introduced. The first pressings of this album are far more commonly seen over these second pressings! The matrix numbers on this record end with 10S/13S.
COVER: VG+ with no seam splits, tape or writing. However, there is a tiny puncture hole to the lower left corner that appears to be caused by a bored puppy way back when. Ring wear, seen on both sides is very light and barely noticeable. A couple of minor bend marks are noticed, probably from removing or inserting the record into the cover. The original turquoise-colored “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” inner sleeve is included.
