Here is a very rare opportunity for you to acquire a truly magnificent, well cared for, and genuine, first pressing of this much sought after L.P. by the all time "king" of Rock 'n' Roll", which is in excellent overall condition.

Of the few copies of this album in circulation, genuine Maroon label 1st pressings, I doubt if any will be in as good a condition as this copy !!

This is a unique record as the very earliest first pressings of this classic Elvis L.P. from 1958, were issued with maroon record labels with a silver RCA logo and lettering together with a stapled-in 4 page full colour booklet (Later 1960 pressings had a red silver spot record label and the smaller 2 page booklet). Most of the copies of this L.P. that I have previously seen have obviously been very well played, and the superb gatefold sleeve & accompanying booklet are usually badly frayed, creased. or torn. Fortunately, through careful storage, this copy has escaped the kind of rough handling usually metered out to early Elvis L.P's !!

The gatefold sleeve & stapled-in, 4 page booklet of this copy, are in amazing condition - no marks, writing, or tears. The staples of the booklet are clean and rust free!! The only blemish being a few very minor storage creases.

The thin, laminated, front sleeve shows some minor feathering to the outside edges and corners, but is otherwise crisp and clean. There are no serious creases, tears, or writing. There is, however, some minor lifting of the laminate which is unfortunately the norm. for this record, but this does not detract from the overall condition of this much sought after, maroon label,first pressing. The white inner lined sleeve is the original, and is in near perfect condition.

Both sides of the maroon record labels and the vinyl playing surfaces are in awesome condition, and virtually un-marked. The silver label text is totally legible, the only blemishes being a few small "spider" marks around the spindle hole. I doubt if this record has been played more than half a dozen times, prior to being carefully stored and protected by a polythene outer sleeve.

The vinyl is also in superb (excellent) condition. It's thick, clean, and still retains that just pressed shiny black look. There are some very minor "hairlines" to the playing surfaces that can be seen under strong light, but both sides play with the very minimum of background noise, and certainly NO pops, skips or jumps. I honestly believe that it would be extremely hard to find a better copy of this album, and even those collectors lucky enough to own one already, would probrably view this copy as an up-grade.
