ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS (LPM-1707) HIGH GRADE FIRST PRESSING with NO “RE” ON BACK COVER!
RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with original glossy surfaces! There is only light sleeve scuffs on both sides that do not result in any skips or repeats. This Rockaway pressing plays great through and through! The labels are simply beautiful and show “ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS” shifted far to the left on both sides. The matrix numbers end with 3S/4S.
COVER: VG+ with an upper seam split of approximately 5 inches in length (please see all photos). Some additional upper edge wear as well as wear to the corner tips is also observed. Very minor ring wear is seen on the front slick. Some light to moderate ring wear is seen on the back side. This is the first cover variety with no “RE” following the catalog number to the upper right corner on the back. The last paragraph on the first column of text states “After thirty-one grueling ‘takes’, a satisfactory master was finally made”. On “RE” covers, this is changed to “After several rehearsal ‘takes’, a satisfactory master was finally made”. The original “onion skin” (glassine) inner sleeve is included.
