I AM BACK TO LISTING LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1960 U.S. RCA VICTOR RECORDS MONAURAL LP RECORD (NOT A REISSUE!!) WITH ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER AND SONG TITLE STICKER titled 'Elvis Is Back!', the first album issued by Elvis Presley after his return from U.S. Army service in 1960. It is RCA Victor Records catalog number LPM-2231. This is a deep groove first pressing, with the labels bearing the smaller RCA Victor logo and silver print, and the 'Long 33-1/3' Play' inscription at the bottoms of the labels. Both the song title sticker and the record labels show the song title 'The Girl Next Door', also indicating an absolute first pressing. Gatefold cover has a small hole at the top, part of the cover's original construction, which would allow the owner to hang the cover in an open position to display the photos printed on the outside of the cover. The original stock RCA Victor inner sleeve is also included. Tracks: Make Me Know It, Fever,The Girl Of My Best Friend, I Will Be Home Again, Dirty Dirty Feeling, Thrill Of Your Love, Soldier Boy, Such A Night, It Feels So Right, The Girl Next Door, Like A Baby, Reconsider Baby. Condition of record and cover is nicer than is usually seen with original first pressings of this LP - Condition of record is a nice high VG++ with all original gloss and a very few light surface marks, none of which can be felt or will affect play. Both labels have a tiny bit of contact wear and one or two small and light spindle marks, no other real flaws. RCA Victor stock inner sleeve has a little age discoloration, no other real flaws. Condition of gatefold cover is a high VG+ with a small amount of contact and ring wear and wear along the edges and on the corners, no other real flaws - no splits, stickers, tears, or writing. This historic LP would be an essential addition to any Elvis Presley or rockabilly record collection !
