ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS (LPM-1382) FIRST PRESSING with SCARCE “OLD SHEP” ALTERNATE TAKE, 17S MATRIX
RECORD: VG with very clean, glossy surfaces! There are just a few too many light scuffs and non-feelable scratches to warrant a higher grade. This Indianapolis pressing was fully play-tested and full high fidelity remains intact. However, there are some random “ticks” present. The labels are simply beautiful with only a few light spindle marks noticed. This is the scarce 17S (Side 2) matrix copy with the Alternate Take of “Old Shep”! Side 1 matrix number ends with 1S.
COVER: VG- with an upper seam split of approximately 5-1/2 inches and a lower seam split of 4-1/2 inches. An additional 2-inch lower edge break is also present. There is also a lengthy strip of paper lift on the front at the upper portion, probably caused by contact with moisture. This cover happens to be among the rarest cover varieties with no ads on the back and the song titles shifted far to the left. An “RCA Victor” inner sleeve from 1957 is included and most likely not original to this album. Original sleeves of this era were the glassine, or “onion skin” style sleeves.
GOOD LUCK!
All of the records in my listings are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated. Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within 3 (Three) business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday.
Returns are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I stand behind everything sold here on eBay! I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction.
All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
2024 marks 47 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley because he is "The King".
